When the symbols of the Tamil liberation struggle and the name of Tamil Eelam National Leader Hon. V. Prabhakaran are seen on a sweet packet, what would he have said if he were present?

✧. Perspective of Tamil Eelam National Leader Hon. V. Prabhakaran
“I am glad to see that Tamils are engaging in industry through their hard work, producing traditional foods, and seeking to establish themselves in the global market. The labor and creativity of Tamils must indeed spread worldwide.
But remember – our struggle is not a commercial brand. It is the price of Tamil lives. The Tiger emblem, the Sea emblem, and my name – none of these exist to decorate sweet packets. They are symbols born of the blood and sacrifice of thousands of fighters who gave their lives for Tamil liberation.
Engage in trade, yes. Build your reputation in your own name, in the symbols of your labor. But do not commercialize our history or our symbols. That would be disrespectful to our sacrifices and to the dignity of the Tamil people.”
✧. The Meaning of the Symbols of Struggle
The Tiger emblem – the courage and confidence of the Tamil nation.
The Sea emblem – the homeland of Tamils, its land and waters that must be protected.
The Leader’s name – the foremost symbol of the Tamil struggle for life and liberation.
All of these must remain historical and national symbols, never reduced to commercial logos.
✧. Encouragement for Tamil Enterprise
Tamil Eelam National Leader Hon. V. Prabhakaran always supported the education, knowledge, industry, and enterprise of Tamils.
Yet, he would have strongly emphasized:
“Take pride in your labor. Let Tamil products reach the world. But never reduce the symbols of our liberation struggle to commercial use. Instead, elevate your own name, your family’s name, your village’s name – that will be the true dignity of Tamils.”
✧. A Warning to the Youth
“Young generation, remember – our movement, our symbols, and our names are not for business.
They were born for the protection of the Tamil nation, for freedom, and for the preservation of our homeland.
Your duty is not to commercialize those identities, but to carry them forward as the truthful record of our history for the generations to come.”
✧. In Summary
Tamil Eelam National Leader Hon. V. Prabhakaran would have appreciated Tamil enterprise and industrial growth.
But he would have strongly opposed the use of his name and the symbols of the struggle on commercial products.
He would have encouraged Tamils:
“Grow in the name of your own labor; do not sell in the name of our history.”
This would have stood as both a historical lesson and a political warning to the youth.
