A tribute to the Tamil Eelam freedom fighters who embraced martyrdom for our people
Each soul that rose for Tamil liberation
Did not live for themselves –
They carried no personal dreams,
But the hopes of a people long silenced.
From unseen wounds emerged
Warriors reborn through resistance.
For us…
They fought for the right of the Tamils to self-determination,
Turning their very lives into sacred offerings,
Falling on that very soil –
The sacred land they refused to surrender.
They lived only for us,
They fought only for us –
Hearts that blazed, never bending to storms.
Do not search for gods elsewhere,
The pillars that upheld the land
Are none but our fallen heroes –
The breathing dots of ultimate sacrifice.
Beyond hatred, pain, and debates,
For a dream called liberation,
Rose a voice of burning courage –
The places their bodies lie
Now stand as temples of our faith.
In every word I utter,
In every step you walk,
Their blood-written history
Remains a sacred script, unerasable.
Our tears are their rituals,
Our struggle – their continuation.
They lived for Tamil liberation,
And now shine within us as eternal flames –
For they fell only for us!
