Christmas at Kew 2025: A Botanical Wonderland of Light

Kew Gardens’ annual festive spectacle returns with breathtaking new features and a record-breaking display of over one million LED lights, transforming the UNESCO World Heritage site into a glowing winter dreamscape.

What’s New This Year?
Eight newly commissioned installations, including Christmas Orchestra, A musical light show synced like a real orchestra. In Bloom, A poetic display of floating petals by Dutch artist Wilhelmusvlug. Mycelium Network, Fibre optic strands mimicking fungal filaments, celebrating ecological connectivity. Illuminated bridge across Palm House Pond, offering fresh views of 100 glowing waterlilies. Interactive dance floors with nostalgic music and giant headphones. First-ever lighting of the Great Pagoda, an 18th-century architectural gem.

This year’s trail celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Millennium Seed Bank, blending artistic expression with environmental awareness. Installations like the Mycelium Network highlight Kew’s scientific mission to protect biodiversity.

Visitors can enjoy Street food stalls with winter warmers and sweet treats. Pavilion Bar & Grill is offering a special festive menu. Christmas Cathedral, a returning favorite with immersive light tunnels.
