A person addicted to alcohol
Forgets his home…
A person addicted to cinema
Forgets his own life…
Alcohol
Slowly destroys the body…
But blind addiction to cinema
Slowly destroys the mind…
We celebrate
The hero on the screen…
Yet we fail to recognise
The true hero working tirelessly at home…
We memorize
The dialogues of actors…
But we claim
We have no time to learn our own history…
We pour milk
On giant cut-outs of celebrities…
Yet we forget
The sacrifices of real heroes who shaped our nation…
Alcohol addiction
Can ruin an individual…
But an unhealthy obsession with cinema
Can weaken the thinking of an entire society…
Entertainment is necessary…
But entertainment
Must never become our purpose in life…
Art should be appreciated…
But artists
Should never be worshipped…
Let us teach our children
Not only the names of celebrities…
But also the values of
Knowledge, history, hard work, integrity, and humanity…
We must free ourselves
Not only from alcohol…
But from every addiction
That steals our ability to think…
Because…
A truly free human being
Is one who can think independently.
